Re: Noir was originally composed to accompany contemporary dance performances at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre in March 2009, and was the result of a collaboration with choreographer Jacob Hobbs.

The piece casts the saxophonist as the central protagonist in an imagined film noir, fighting the good fight in a world of electronic echoes.
